We are accepting applications on the puppies, and they are officially going on Petfinder this afternoon. If interested, please be sure to get your application in (as well as the name of pup your interested in). They are on a first come first serve basis. Meaning if we get your application in before someone else's, and you are approved, you will have the chance to adopt the puppy first.
We are listing their breed as Dachshund / Mix. We do not know what they are mixed with and we do not guarantee anything. We see some Dachshund in them and that's about it. We know they are mixed with something else, but we don't know what. Since they were found along side the road with nothing but a box, we don't know at all what they are. It would've been nice if the person who dumped them could atleast have put a note in the box to tell us what they were mixed with. We believe they will mature to be somewhere around 20-40 lbs, but we don't know this for a fact. It's really a toss up, because we don't know their breed.
A few of the puppies did suffer from some mild frostbite, one suffered from a bit more serious frostbite, but they all seem fine from it for now. There doesn't seem to be any complications. Jenny(AKA Jeanette) did lose her dewclaw nail and one of her other nails. However they seem to be growing back, and even if they didn't fully come back she should be fine from it.
We are posting updated pictures on Petfinder, that was taken February 8, 2010.
Also we are going to be posting the weights of each puppy as of today, and will try to post all the updated pictures to the blog here as well.
