Intro

Live “Litter”
By: Sharon Parker

Dropped off without a care,
with such a heavy burden we bear.
Temperatures in the teens,
someone was oh so mean.
Left alone beside the highway,
would we see another day?
We didn't choose to be here,
without anyone near.
Cold, shivering and forsaken,
would we be taken?
Taken by eternal rest,
was this our first and final test?
Taken by a kind heart,
and given a brand new start?
Second chances don't happen much,
but wait, was that a touch?
A touch by a kind gentle hand,
moved to a warmer land.
Something soft, something cozy,
now we could lay here and dozy.
Fed around the clock,
tick tock tick tock.
No matter what the hour,
these angels never get sour.
Thankful for this brand new life,
without any strife.
We know there'll be more to write about,
but for now we wait for our bottle with a pout.
